Born and raised in former communist East Germany, I grew up exploring the world and its natural beauty with my mother's old Praktica film camera. I was twelve when I started taking the camera wherever I went. Here is one of my first shots taken at the lake in my hometown.
Since the fall of the Berlin wall, I have enjoyed my freedom to travel wherever I choose and to photograph people, places, and cultures. I left my hometown after high school graduation, skipping out on prom night, impatient to start my new life in the U.S. as an Au Pair.
My travels, and learning about new cultures in an increasingly global playing field, inspired me to study international business. While taking a summer course in the Spanish language in Mexico City, I met my Canadian husband who enjoyed traveling and learning new languages as much as I do. We have been together since. We lived in Seoul, South Korea for six years, where we continued our studies in graduate school.
After working in Events & Marketing for over ten years, I am now following my lifelong dream of starting my own photography venture. I love shooting events, human and pet portraits, cities and architecture, landscapes, and wildlife.
